Dear commencing students,
As the Head of the School, I also welcome you to a new and exciting chapter of your life – your education in another city and country. Australia has much to offer visitors, and our Student Experience Officers are here to assist you in making your stay more enjoyable.
As a student, I also travelled, and many years later, I still have friends in the places I studied. Not only do I have these lifelong friends, but I also have memories of how enjoyable it was to live in a different culture and with new people. It impressed me greatly, and I am so happy that I travelled. And before I forget, I also learned a lot from my studies, and my experiences made me a better person and employee.
Be sure to plan your time—you need time for yourself and time for your studies. Remember that you are here to study, but you also need “me-too” time.
I wish you all the best in Australia and your studies, and I hope you enjoy both while here. I look forward to meeting you.
Sincerely,
Dr Cyril Jankoff
Head of School
